LCA's Middle School Program consists of basic studies in Bible, English, reading and study skills, mathematics, science, and social studies, with additional experiences in art, drama, music, other cultures and languages, computers, and physical education. LCA builds a solid foundation of basic knowledge, study habits, attitudes, and skills to prepare the student for the more formal and rigorous approach of the Upper School. Flexible scheduling and a team approach are essential to LCA's Program. Middle School students are required to participate in at least one interscholastic sport each academic year. Baseball, basketball, cross country, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, and wrestling are offered at thestling are offered at the interscholastic level.
A fall Middle School retreat and regular service projects are additional highlights of the LCA Middle School experience. Other Middle School social activities are offered, some on an individual class basis, others involving the entire Middle School. Several annual events, such as the Christmas Concert and ArtsFest, LCA's spring Fine Arts festival, offer opportunities for students from both the Middle and Upper Schools to participate.
